The work Economía política clásica en Hegel. Valour, Capital, Ethical Life, by Fernando Huesca Ramón, consists of four chapters devoted to studying the economic thought of G.W.F. Hegel in the light of the tradition of classical political economy. The reading of Hegel's political-economic position that had predominated until a few decades ago was marked by the tendency to show that Hegelian analyses of economics, capital and the role of civil society and the state in production, circulation and distribution ratified or defended nineteenth-century imperialism, or ignored the harmful consequences of the division of labour.
